The Father Fred Foundation is seeking an experienced, dynamic leader as the next Executive Director of the organization due to the planned retirement of the current Executive Director. Founded in 1989 in Traverse City Michigan, the Father Fred Foundation is a non-profit organization that serves five counties in Northwestern Lower Michigan (Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Kalkaska). The Foundation helps individuals and families with their essential immediate needs including food, shelter, and clothing. Above all, The Foundation nurtures dignity, compassion, and hope through service to the most vulnerable in our communities. What we have is given free of charge to those in need.
The Executive Director will lead and direct all activities of The Father Fred Foundation. As a chief staff officer, the Executive Director is responsible for The Foundation, in accordance with budgets, policies, and programs, and for maintaining effective staff and volunteer performance to assure the attainment of the foundation’s goals. The Executive Director will serve as the foundation’s spokesperson, representing The Father Fred Foundation to its clients, stakeholders, partners, and the public.
Required skills and experience include effective financial, budget, and administrative leadership, client service experience, program development, staff guidance, and communications. A bachelor's degree (master’s preferred) and five to seven years of demonstrated experience in human service or non-profit management.
