Locally Founded. Locally Funded. Locally Focused.

What we have to offer families in need is a direct result of the generosity of our community.

Since 1989, The Father Fred Foundation has been providing food, clothing, household goods, and financial assistance to those with less within our five-county community. In the words of Father Fred himself, we are here to listencareshare, and above all, provide hope for those who find themselves in difficult times. Our goal is to ensure that no one in our community falls through the cracks - and we do all this without accepting any state or federal aid. To read more about The Father Fred Foundation, go to Who We Are.

Treating our neighbors with dignity and respect is the core of our existence. Father Fred used to say, “Look Good, Feel Good, Be Good.”  Words that echo in all that we do.

With that in mind, please help us to help our neighbors by donating those items that our neighbors need.

  • Current season clothing ready to go into another person’s home (no stains, tears or other repairs needed)
  • Linens (sheets, pillowcases, blankets, towels)
  • Household goods (dishes, glasses, pots, pans, bakeware, silverware)
  • Basic furniture: mattresses and frames (no stains, no tears, no king size), dressers, sofas (not hide-a-beds), kitchen tables and chairs, books shelves and end tables.

Due to both space constraints and volunteer capacity, we are not able to accept out of season clothing, out of season holiday décor, vases, baskets, etc.

We are here to accept your donations Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 to 4. On Wednesdays, we are open late for donations until 7pm. If our donation door is not open when you come by, please call the office, 231-947-2055 and we will meet you at the door to accept your donations.

Please note: Donations left outside of our door overnight must be disposed of, which costs The Foundation.  Please do not leave donations outside of our facility.  THANK YOU!.

Food items: 5 oz. canned chicken or tuna... oatmeal... peanut butter... rice... dried beans 1lb bag... spaghetti or pasta... pasta sauce... soups... canned fruits in juice.
