Listen. Care. Share.
The Foundation strives to bring hope and enrich the lives of those who come to The Foundation seeking help, treating each person with dignity and respect. Three simple words guide us in our daily work, and they are the very words on which Father Fred created The Foundation…Listen, care, and share.
If you are in need and live in one of the five counties that The Foundation serves (Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Leelanau and Kalkaska), Father Fred is here to help and will make every effort to assist with what troubles you. Please see our types of help, client resources, and our location/hours of operation for additional information.
“Someone called in today and said to me, ‘Maybe you have a solution to this mountain of troubles that I have.’ And I said, ‘I don’t know about that, but you can come in and maybe we can get down the mountain and find out what’s bothering you.”
- Father Edwin Frederick, in a 1998 interview
"Bills and prices have gone up and my hours at work are down. I am so thankful that I have somewhere to turn."
"I lost my home and my job went down to no hours. It is hard to buy food. I haven’t been here in two years and I was treated so very well. I was made not to feel bad about asking for help."
"Thank you all so much for helping with your donation to keep me from being evicted and for being there in my desperate time of need. "
"I am working all the time and still cannot put in the hours and pay bills. It’s very frustrating. Thank you to Father Fred for making things a little easier. "
You recently helped our family have our well repaired and we wanted you to know it was so appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
"Thank you so much for the kindness and assistance that has helped me to get back on my feet. "
