The Father Fred Foundation in conjunction with our local chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) is holding the 1st Annual Canstruction TC Frostbite Buildup on Saturday, January 28, 2012.

The competition challenge is to make a free standing sculpture comprised entirely of canned food products. Entries will be judged based on 4 categories of performance with the winners of each category going on to national competition via photo documentation. All of the food used in the competition will be donated to the Father Fred food pantry as part of the Frostbite Food Drive (February 3-12).

Eight teams from area businesses, organizations and families are participating: Fox Motors, Consumers Energy, Grand Traverse Academy, Kitchen Choreography, Huntington Bank, Britten, Inc., the Coast Guard T.C. Anchor Club and the Dietz-Klein family. Click the team names for detailed profiles as we post them and stay tuned to our website & Facebook for more profiles!
